Welcome to Humor-Us Toastmasters Club, one of a select group of Toastmasters Clubs that counts HAs instead of AHs!
In addition to the standard Toastmasters agenda of prepared manual speeches, effective evaluations, and impromptu table topics, we offer an opening monologue on current events, prepared and evaluated stand-up comedy routines, tool-time, and improv! Our membership is open to all interested individuals.
We meet at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, home of the world-famous Mayo Clinic. (See "Where" and "When" for details). We love to have guests! Come enjoy some good, clean humor!
We chartered on August 2, 2005 and received the Select Distinguished recognition for 2005 - 2006! Our club received the Lorin Pollman Speechcraft Award in 2007!

Whether you want to listen to humor, pursue a career in comedy, or coach others as they find their humorous sides, we provide an effective and supportive venue for pursuing your goals.

In October 1924, a group of men assembled by Dr. Ralph C. Smedley met in the basement of the YMCA in Santa Ana, California, U.S.A., forming a club to afford practice and training in the art of public speaking and in presiding over meetings, and to promote sociability and good fellowship among its members. The group took the name Toastmasters. 
Today, Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization which gives its members the opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.
Toastmasters International enters the new century as the undisputed world leader in public speaking training, with over 10,500 clubs and more than 200,000 members in approximately 90 countries. In the years to come, more people than ever will benefit from Toastmasters leadership and education.
Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program. Whether you're speaking to the board of directors, your customers, your co-workers or your kids, Toastmasters can help you do it better. You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you areto become better communicators. 
Toastmasters members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. A typical Toastmasters club is made up of 20 to 30 people who meet once a week for about an hour. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation.
Meetings are 6:00pm - 7:00 pm the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month
